Getting ready for the Summer SS 2018 event!

First of all, this is going to be the last journal update, because my core membership expires next Sunday. If you would like to extend my core membership on dA, I would be very happy.

Okay, as you may have noticed right now, the Summer Secret Santa 2018 event at the currently has 311 participants. However, since I see that only one participant deactivated, I'll have to reduce that number by one after sign-ups close.

Later this week, I will start doing a test run on organising pairs at random to see which is going to be the best pairing between the giving and receiving participants. In the Humanoid category, the pairs will be organised based on three skill levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. The other two categories, Mixed and Anthro/Feral will be organised at random as usual.

Regardless of how hard I try to organise the pairs, let's hope that we don't get too many complaints about anyone not being okay with doing their gift drawing.

I will be notifying active co-founders and contributors to send notes to the following participants in these sections:

Humanoid: Beginner
Humanoid: Intermediate
Humanoid: Advanced
Mixed
Anthro / Feral

I have worked way too hard on this year's Summer Secret Santa 2018 event and getting so many members to sign up and we want to try to make everyone as happy as possible.

Look at it this way...if I find anyone who is not comfortable about doing the gift drawing, please send us a note and we'll try as hard as possible to work things out. We don't want to see any abrupt deactivations or anyone dropping out of the event.

Sign-ups for the event will close next Sunday night at 9 PM Pacific Daylight Time. This means that if you don't sign up by the deadline, you will not have the opportunity to participate in the event. If for some reason, you don't have the time to participate and decide to miss out, sign-ups for the Secret Santa 2018 event will open on Monday, August 27, 2018. That's 99 days from now!
