Deviation Actions
As promised, this is a follow-up to my previous journal from a few days ago. So, it's time to read along.
I would like to thank for including me in her deviantART stories. You're one of those deviants who are awesome. Your illustrations are so beautiful and creative as always!
Okay, where do I begin here...
I first discovered deviantART way back in as early as 2003, the last time when I was on a dial-up connection. If I can remember correctly, I used to frequently do Powerpuff-related drawings on oekaki.
Back then, due to the once popularity of Yahoo! Group, I decided to celebrate it by joining deviantART. When I joined, I uploaded my first three submissions, "Deviant Desktop 2004.8.11", "Puffheadz" and "The Powerpuff Girls". The later picture was which was submitted in April 2004 failed to contain proper credit and I regret updating the picture.
My first deviant who followed me was murphyc1000 who I've known for over a decade. He has improved his oekaki drawings since he started doing it way back in 2003. I first seen him just a couple of days after I signed up for deviantART and I pretty much enjoyed his drawings.
I then met x3rikku who drew more than just Powerpuff-related artwork, but anime style artwork as well.
It wasn't until late January 2005 when I started to get hooked in the deviantART forums. It wasn't until 2007 when I made my most popular forum thread of all, "dA's Seventh Birthday Word Association". The forum thread made 2,693 replies before fourteenthstar locked the thread in question due to obvious reasons that she believed that the "word association thread" was considered "spam" in the long term.
I remember posting my popular forum complaint that dealt with frustrated and angered deviants complaining about the removal of artwork that violated deviantART's strict policies against pornographic material.
Speaking of my stance against pornography, I made my memorable "Stop Child Porn" stamp. With over 2,000 favourites and nearly 40,000 views on this stamp, deviants are raising awareness that child pornography on the internet and in real life will NOT be tolerated!
The stamp itself sparked widespread controversy regarding the stamp as seen by a small portion of the deviant population who has argued with deviantART staff over the rules against inappropriate content.
And then another controversial stamp, "Tracing is Legal" which focused on the legal aspects of tracing, what is allowed and what isn't allowed at all. What was unfortunate was that I had to turn comments off on the stamp, because deviants had trouble agreeing with what is and isn't allowed in regards to tracing.
I didn't get to faving deviations until mid-February 2006. The first capture of the Internet Archive showed that I over 1,000 favs when I started this long mass-faving spree and by mid-July of that year (before deviantART was redesigned), it had grown to almost 15,000. Within a couple of years, the fav count had surpassed well over 100,000.
The moral of the story is that I started to like more than just Powerpuff related artwork, but anime, comic and realistic style illustrations as well.
Along with all of that, here are some more deviants that I forgot to mention twelve of one of the best artists that I like over the years:
... One of the best deviants that I've known and love over the years. She has significantly improved her realistic illustrations and has worked so hard in it.
... One of the best fantasy and realism artist who I've known for quite some time. She's one of the best and I'm proud of it.
... A increasingly popular anime artist who has worked so hard on her creativity of her artistic style over the years.
... One of the awesome freelance illustrators who has a webcomic called Echo (in English and French). She has worked so hard on her illustrations over the years and I'm really proud of that!
... An amazing artist who has done lots of illustrations of her characters, as well as other illustrations including fanart and commissioned works. She used to be under the name Sayuri here and on SheezyArt.
... A wonderful varied artist who has frequented the forums over the years.
... A wonderful Sailor Moon-inspired artist who has significantly improved her illustrations and created her character, Sailor Asterea. She has created her most popular stock account !
... Whom I've known online for years now. She has produced wonderful drawings, including semi-realistic illustrations. She even did a few drawings of my characters too.
... Another wonderful artist who has done advertising illustration as well as fantasy and realism illustrations too.
... A awesome anime artist who has done tons of illustrations with lots of improvements over the years.
.. One of the deviants that I watched back in 2010. She's one of the awesome artists out there who has put a lot of hard work on how she did her illustrations over the years, including her creativity. I like that drawing style of hers.
.. One of the deviants who used to be under the kidaru username. Over the last eight years or so, she has significantly improved her artistic style and creativity as time progressed.
I am grateful with the way I have interacted with deviants in a widespread matter over the years and I really appreciate it! Sometime later next week, I will post another follow-up to this deviantART story...the story about my art and my characters.
