I've been offline for a while, because I have some not so good news as I am typing from a laptop belonging to my sister as what is going on right now.

The monitor attached to the graphics card stopped working properly. I also tried to connect the eMachines monitor and it simply wouldn't turn on. I'm gonna need to get the monitor tested in the family room PC to make sure that it still works properly. I was forced to turn the computer off, because of thunderstorms in the area and when I tried to turn the computer on, the monitor wouldn't come on properly.

I will most likely need to get a different monitor to use for this computer and if it still doesn't work, then it has to be the graphics card going bad. I sure hope that is absolutely not the case as I've been using the NVIDIA GeForce MX400 graphics card for over a decade without any problems and it always worked without problems.

Sorry about that. :(

Update: The 11-year old graphics card is still working as is. Earlier this week, I found that while the monitor would turn on, the back-light on the 17" Sylvania LCD monitor stopped working.

Until I find a replacement LCD monitor online (if I can), I will have to use my sister's laptop and use a VNC client as this aging desktop computer does not even have a computer monitor now.
