Today is the last day that current President Barack H. Obama will be President of the United States. Starting tomorrow at noon EST, Barack H. Obama will no longer be president and the inauguration of the 45th President of the United States will commence.

Donald J. Trump will sworn into the Oath of Office and will be known as President Trump. His running mate Mike Pence will be sworn in as the 48th Vice President of the United States.

When Donald Trump takes office, he will become the oldest President of the United States. Previously, Ronald Regan took the Oath of Office at the age of 69 in 1981.

How did he become president? As you may know, he won the 2016 Presidential Election by an electoral vote of 304 to 227. 30 states voted for the Republican and 20 states voted for the Democratic (Hillary Clinton). Both Donald and Hillary are from the home state of New York.

Hillary Clinton however, won the popular vote, 65,844,954 (45.95%) to 62,978,879 (48.04%). Donald Trump will become the fifth person in history to become president despite losing the nationwide popular vote and will become the first president without any prior experience in public service.

This is going to be a rough ride for everyone for at least the next four years (through at least January 2021).

Thoughts on the inauguration everyone?

Impeachment sounds like a good word right now.
