First of all, people have to realise that they can't always get what they want in regards to gift subscriptions, requests and giftart. However, I had a conversation with *sharem last night and I have though of a wonderful idea.

However, this may or may not always work.

If someone were to give me a 1 month ($4.95), 3 month ($7.95) or even a full year subscription ($29.95), *sharem will do a commission for a subscription and it all depends on what sort of subscription that want to give me.

:bulletblue: A 1 month subscription gets a one character lineart or a black and white sketch.
:bulletgreen: A 3 month subscription gets a traditional colour illustration/sketch.
:bulletred: A full year subscription gets a full digital colour illustration.

How does that sound? If they are willing to do it, I just hope that it had better not be a anonymous donation, because *sharem wants to know who gave me the sub. :giggle:

You see having to be on this site faced with ads can be downright annoying even though dA is making money off of it. However, I was hit with a couple of ads redirecting me to another website and at one point, there was a ad on the right side of the message centre that directed me to a malicious website causing possible harm to this PC; luckily Firefox blocked the inappropriate ad with a warning message.

*sharem, you are such a awesome person in this idea of having others subscribe me in return for a subscription-based commission. I really mean it. :glomp::heart:

It may not be such a practical idea after all. :(
I requested the commission from Sharem and that seemed fine but there has been no update or response to any contact since.

I've sent a couple of messages but I guess the commission isn't happening any more.

I was hoping that =sharem responded soon. First of all, it's possible that either the hard drive or the motherboard on her PC might have died and she is unable to respond. Plus, I haven't been on any IM clients for more than a month. I'm hoping that I can get Pidgin in a couple of weeks time while I sort out through the mess of submitting new deviations and catching up on the month long missout of messages that wound up in my inbox.

That's wonderful. I honestly don't know if you have the money for a sub in the forum of a commission. :p

I'll eventually link to this journal in my future journals.

I do believe that the Playstation 3 costs about $300, I recall.

I don't know if I'm going to be doing it this Christmas, because I'm planning on getting a vintage laptop from eBay for Xmas. :p

Sony phased out its 60 GB model due to the fact the price per gigabyte of the hard disk keeps dropping. Vintage laptops that I'm getting are between July 1988 to June 1994, maximum hard disk capacity of no more than 504 MB and maximum memory capacity of 16 MB. Those laptops that I'm mentioning are not internet capable at all.
